Camaraderie Cellars 2009 Meek Family Vineyard Elegance, Yakima Valley, $35
By Great Northwest Wine on August 26, 2013
Owner/winemaker Don Corson blended Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot from this vineyard not far from Red Mountain in the arid Yakima Valley. It is a superb blend that offers aromas of fresh-cut cedar, boysenberry, lavender and black olive. On the palate, it reveals flavors of Bing cherry, black currant, blackberry and dark chocolate. It’s a rich, mouth-filling wine with bold tannins and the fruit to back them up.
