Michael Florentino Cellars 2012 Mistura Blanco Sauvignon Blanc, Red Mountain, $20
By Great Northwest Wine on October 25, 2013
This blend of white Bordeaux varieties Sauvignon Blanc (78%) and Semillon primarily from Artz Vineyard on Red Mountain and backed by Dineen Vineyard in the Yakima Valley is presented in an off-dry style with a broad appeal. Notes of baked pineapple, Golden Delicious apple, lime peel and celery leaf come through with a clean approach but not with the biting tartness or tomcat tones associated with many Sauvignon Blancs.
