This Italian grape also performs well in the Columbia Gorge, and the Barrs hit the high-toned red fruit notes with this production that opens with cranberry, pomegranate, dried cherry, candied plum and potpourri aromas. The palate carries a theme of Chukar Cherry with a background of enthusiastic acidity and resonating tannins that carry into crescendo of pie cherries.
