Best Buy! Considering the success Bob and Lauren Bullock enjoyed in the past with Riesling leading this proprietary blend, it might have been risky to walk down this path with Viognier as the base. However, these Woodinville, Wash., vintners did a masterful job from start to finish. The aromas feature apricot, Gala apple and peach blossom, while the flow of flavors range from apple, pear and apricot to juicy pineapple and lemon zest. It’s fruit-forward yet not sweet and brings an appealing mouth feel that’s capped by bright acidity. And it earned Best White Wine at the 2014 Seattle Wine & Food Experience Wine Competition.
