By Great Northwest Wine on March 4, 2014
One of Idaho’s top wineries just entered its second decade of existence, and while the brand focuses on single-variety bottlings, this annual blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (25%) and Syrah continues to be handled with aplomb. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black currant and cherry pie are combined with earthiness and leather. Blackberries and currants make their way onto the palate. The mouth feel has a texture of sandy tannins and blueberry acidity, providing for good length. Look for this Saturday afternoons at the tasting room near Boise State University, the Boise Co-op and other Treasure Valley grocers.
