Barking Frog Winery 2010 Bailey Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains, $32
By Great Northwest Wine on April 18, 2014
This Carlton, Ore., winery’s latest example of Pinot Noir from this Hillsboro vineyard shows aromas of red currants, cherry pie filling, strawberry, cigar box and saddle leather, followed by flavors of dried cherries, more currants, sage and white pepper. There’s a pleasing and delicate balance to the interplay of tannin and acidity.
