Last year, this downtown Spokane operation began offering more than just classy bottlings from the Walla Walla Valley as co-owner Dave Westfall now pairs food and live music at the tasting room. This well-aged release form one of the Northwest’s top sites for Bordeaux varieties shows maturity, starting with aromas of black currant, dried cherry, chocolate, pepper and bottle bouquet. On the pour, there are flavors of strawberry jam, plum, cherry, chocolate and bell pepper. The silky texture of its resolved tannins also seems to indicate this wine at its zenith soon after its release on June 1.
