Cecil Zerba’s site on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley produces some of the region’s top red wines, and Grenache is just one of 16 varieties planted among these 150 acres. It gets a boost from Syrah (17%) as aromas of blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry and dark chocolate lead to a rich and robust entry of brambleberries. Moderate tannins ease into a long and chocolaty finish. This earned a silver medal at the 2014 Walla Walla Valley Wine Competition.
