Charlie and Lacey Lybecke launched their winery in West Seattle, but they chose to set up shop along the north shore Lake Chelan and be closer to their vineyard sources. This blend of Syrah (50%), Dolcetto (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Mourvèdre spans three vintages and features plantings such as Dineen Family Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills along with Doc Stewart and 24k on the Wahluke Slope. An expansive nose of president plum and Marionberry also comes with hints of cinnamon, allspice and horehound. There’s a match on the palate, which also picks up cherry and blackberry with delicious acidity and tannins are tucked in the background.
