Best Buy! One of the first examples we saw from Joe Grant and Doris Wood last year was this tiny lot — yet a bargain — blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Merlot (46%) and Syrah from Les Collines and Seven Hills vineyards in their hometown of Walla Walla, and it’s drinking even better now. Aromas of blackberry, pie cherry filling and cola come with hints of hazelnut coffee, tar and succulent spices. Its huge approach brings explosive blackberry and black currant flavors and tannins, backed by smoky bacon, Aussie black licorice and a sip of coffee.
