14 Hands Winery 2013 Moscato, Columbia Valley, $10
By Great Northwest Wine on September 30, 2014
Best Buy! For years, cries of “Save the Muscat” were often made by Ste. Michelle head winemaker Bob Bertheau. Fortunately, his campaign was successful, and 14 Hands winemaker Keith Kenison has excelled with this hugely tropical drink that features lychee, rosewater and apple aromas and flavors. It enters with a bit softly, yet the acidity builds toward a delicious finish of Dreyer’s Outshine Lime Frozen Fruit Bar. Suggested food pairings include fruit salad, charcuterie and soft white cheeses.
