This 2-acre vineyard in the northern foothills of Mount Hood supplies Riesling to some of the Columbia Gorge’s top wineries, and it has begun to build a reputation with this red Bordeaux variety. The Bickford family has created a Malbec table wine from Davidson Hill since 2010, and their latest dry pink is made in stainless steel with limited skin contact, accounting for its salmon color. Aromas of strawberry, apricot, cherry juice and white pepper lead to flavors of Marionberry and white strawberry that are presented just a touch off-dry.
