By Great Northwest Wine on March 22, 2015
Woodinville, Wash., winemaker Bradley Sherman has enjoyed success with this Tempranillo-based blend, which he names as a blend of Spanish terms for red wine and fine. He relies on Tedd Wildman’s StoneTree Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope as well as Mike Andrew’s Coyote Canyon Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills for the Spanish grape (85%), while also blending in Malbec (12%) and Cabernet Franc from Dineen Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. Aromas and flavors bring hints of black cherry, pomegranate and minerality within some light oak toast, amid a good structure of tannin and a finish of cherry pie.
