Kana Winery 2013 Katie Mae Zillah Ranch Vineyard Riesling, Yakima Valley, $14
By Great Northwest Wine on March 29, 2015
Best Buy! This Yakima Valley winery began focusing on Riesling for its Katie Mae release starting in 2007 and recently transitioned to Zillah Ranch Vineyard as a key source for its white program. The nose of Asian pear, Granny Smith apple, lemon/lime and nutmeg is followed by lush and tropical flavors. There’s ample acidity to the 3% residual sugar, making this a delicious, well-chilled brunch wine.
