This brand among the Woodhouse Wine Estates portfolio is named for Kennedy Shah, daughter of proprietors Bijal and Sinead Shah, and winemaker Jean Claude Beck has turned this into a delightful and reasonably priced example of what this grape native to the Iberian Peninsula can do in Washington state. The nose of brambleberries, black currant and raspberry picks up notes of an Almond Joy candy bar and Moroccan spices. On the palate, it’s a smooth presentation of Marionberry and cherry flavors amid a medium structure of sandy frontal tannins with pomegranate acidity for a luscious finish.
