Convergence Zone Cellars 2013 Upland Vineyard Sunbreak Chenin Blanc, Snipes Mountain, $19
By Great Northwest Wine on August 8, 2015
Woodinville vintner Scott Greenberg enjoys working with some of Washington state’s oldest sites for his aromatic whites, and the Newhouse family planted its Chenin Blanc in 1979. Aromas of Bartlett pear, baked apple, fruit cake candy, spun sugar and allspice lead to a pleasing and plump palate. Apricot and juicy pear flavors enter sweet — 3.2% residual sugar — but a squirt of sweet lemon allows it to finish with balance. This available at winery in Woodinville’s Warehouse District, online on our website and Amazon.com.
