Best Buy! Spring Creek Vineyard is among the Mercers’ partnership sites with the Hogue family, and the Hogue brothers were raised on this 330-acre parcel north of Prosser, Wash., that’s often referred to as Headquarters. White grapes dominate this vineyard, first transitioned from hops to grapes in 1979, and Sauvignon Blanc thrives here. Aromas range from gooseberry, lime peel, watermelon and lavender to sagebrush after a thunderstorm. The drink offers flavors of peach, kiwi fruit, tangerine and gooseberry, capped by great salinity and lime juice. It should make for an ideal wine to serve with oysters. This wine is a sign of the growth of Mercer Estates as Jessica Munnell has grown production from 500 to 2,500 cases since her arrival in 2012.
