Even though co-founder Stephen Kenyon’s holdings in the Walla Walla Valley include Stellar Vineyard, longtime winemaker Dave Stephenson first tapped into Lawrence Vineyard along the Royal Slope in the Columbia Basin for this white Rhône grape with the 2011 vintage. He continues to produce this with ripe, rich and round aromas and flavors of Gala apple and pear. The luscious midpalate gives way to lemony acidity, allowing for suggested pairings of roasted chicken, shellfish and artisan cheeses. This earned a silver medal at the 2015 Walla Walla Valley Wine Competition, an annual judging that funds scholarships for students at Walla Walla Community College’s Center for Enology & Viticulture.
