Horizon’s Edge Winery NV After Glow Raspberry Riesling, Rattlesnake Hills, $15
By Great Northwest Wine on April 30, 2016
One of Washington’s most picturesque winery settings moves into its fourth decade of producing some of the state’s most delectable liquid desserts. The Padgetts blend raspberry with Riesling at their Zillah facility, which leads to aromas of smoky golden raspberry, Mandarin orange and butterscotch. On the palate, there’s rich viscosity among the flavors of golden raspberry and tangerine. Trailing notes of peach skin and peach pit balance the residual sugar of 2.3%, which is a bit less than some previous releases.
