Scatter Creek Winery NV Berry Select Holidaze Mulled Red Wine, Washington, $40
By Great Northwest Wine on May 7, 2016
Chehalis Valley winemaker Terril Keary develops and bottles this off-dry mulled wine using a variety of berries and spices that makes it a tasty exploration. Strawberry, cherry and rose petal aromas include a potpourri of clove and orange peel reminiscent of Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea. It’s indeed a sweet and spicy sipper at 5% residual sugar with flavors of cinnamon, mocha, blackberry and blueberry. At this time of year, enjoy it on the beach wrapped in a blanket or sitting around a campfire.
