The McKinley Springs tandem of grower Rob Andrews and winemaker Mike Rowell developed this estate blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Merlot (27%), Malbec (19%) and Cabernet Franc as a tribute to the generations of farming families in Washington’s Horse Heaven Hills. It’s a beautifully balanced Left Bank Bordeaux style red offering aromas of Marionberry jam, blueberry fruit leather, cola, white chocolate and white pepper. Black currant flavors lead into more tones of Marionberry and cola as pie cherry filling and fine-grained tannins make for a long finish. Suggested pairings include a grilled hamburger, which can be found at the annual Horse Heaven Hills Trail Drive.
