Scatter Creek Winery 2014 Peach Breeze White Table Wine, Yakima Valley, $15
By Great Northwest Wine on April 23, 2017
Best Buy! Terril Keary, who makes his wines near Thurston County town of Tenino, Wash., continues to find the sweet spot with his offerings that include fruit juices. Using Chardonnay as the base wine, his latest Peach Breeze is reminiscent of a Yakima Valley peach sundae, offering aromas and flavors of Cling peach, apricot preserves and wildflowers. With its residual sugar of 2 percent, enough balance is achieved to make this a tasty brunch wine or porch-pounder, best served with a good chill.
