Tunnel Hill Winery 2015 Estate Pinot Noir, Lake Chelan, $25
By Great Northwest Wine on May 29, 2018
This sublime stop on the south shore of Lake Chelan is operated by second-generation farmer Guy Evans, an award-winning documentary filmmaker. This superb Pinot Noir grapes from estate grapes give hope for this variety in Washington. Aromas of blueberry, brioche, cinnamon and vanilla lead to flavors of juicy red fruit, hints of blackcurrants and ripe raspberries in the finish. It earned a gold medal and best in class at the 2017 Wenatchee Wine Awards.
