Skyfall Vineyard 2017 Chardonnay, Columbia Valley $10

By on June 1, 2019

Best Buy! David Minick was the force and the face behind Willow Crest Winery in the Yakima Valley before joining Precept Wine, and his reign as director of vineyards included Skyfall Vineyard – a planting near Red Mountain that Precept acquired in 2013. Soon after, Precept entered a partnership with Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, who made Minick the face of the brand. Their Chardonnay goes beyond its namesake vineyard and is presented in a food-friendly style with minimal presence of oak, which allows notes of starfruit, lemon, mint and pineapple to shine, finishing with a nibble of Asian pear skin. These wines are available through Total Wine & More.
