The work and the setting created by owner/grower David Nemarnik and winemaker Tom Fitzpatrick provides an Old World feel for visitors to this Chehalem Mountains property along Lebeau Road between Newberg and Sherwood. It’s Fitzpatrick’s 12-barrel blend of Nemarnik’s estate from Dijon clone 114 and 777 with Pommard. Fruit-forward aromas of cherry, blueberry and cola leads to a silky structure of similar blue fruit. There’s pleasing depth as vanilla, toast and blackberry lead to a lively finish of pomegranate, making for an well-crafted and enjoyable drink.
