Amavi Cellars 2018 Estate Vineyards Rosé, Walla Walla Valley, $24

By on January 26, 2020

While many may think of Les Collines Vineyard or Pepper Bridge when it comes to plantings for Amavi Cellars, the portfolio of estate sites that Jean-François Pellet is allowed to pull from includes Summit View and Waliser, and they alone combine for this sunny rosé of Cabernet Franc. The mid-September harvest and 100% stainless steel approach leads to a presentation fresh-cut pineapple, sweet herbs and Meyer lemon. There’s little distraction in terms of its almost colorless appearance and its bright structure and superb mouth feel make it remarkably versatile for food applications.
