This Walla Walla Valley producer pulls fruit from vineyards in three appellations — Dionysus in the White Bluffs, StoneTree on the Wahluke Slope and Southwind in the Walla Walla Valley — for this rich and bright Cab that emerged from a program of 40% new French oak and filled with purple fruit. Dusty boysenberry, dried cherry, cured meat and cedar are carried by fine-grained tannins that ride the gumline with a medium structure that’s capped by another bite of boysenberry and Italian herbs.
