Best Buy! The Miller family has 830 acres of estate fruit along the Roza in Washington’s Yakima Valley, making it one of the largest vineyards in the Pacific Northwest and the source for some of the region’s most deliciously price wines available. While their example of Pinot Gris offers hints of tropicality, its foundation is built around tones of stone fruit, starting with a nose of starfruit, dried pineapple, Asian pear and jasmine. That starfruit leads the bright flavors, and there’s great weight to the balance of apricot, white pineapple and lemon oil, a combination that makes it ideal with poached halibut.
