Of David Dufenhorst’s three vineyards, Double D is the largest at 55 acres, and Sauvignon Blanc is the lone white variety planted since the site was established in 2013 across the Columbia River from the Knapp’s Hill Tunnel. This effort brings alluring aromas of Limeade, Jolly Rancher green apple candy and honeysuckle. It turns more serious on the palate as lime and Granny Smith apple flavors step aside for some minerality to appear in the finish alongside lime pith. Suggested pairings include chèvre-stuffed squash blossoms under a creamy herb drizzle.
