The flagship Pinot Noir grown by Jason Tosch’s crew and crafted by Melissa Burr’s team above the erstwhile turkey farm where Bill Stoller grew up continues to serve as nationwide ambassador for Oregon’s Dundee Hills. Their consistent approach remains on a fruit-forward style with light barrel influence — 17% new French oak — for 10 months, so these bottlings are released about 12 months beyond harvest. Indeed, there’s an approachable and youthful vibrancy, almost Beaujolais style, to its presentation of black cherry, peach skin and delicate toast. Red currant skins, allspice and raspberry juice combine for a pleasing finish.
