Seven times Maryhill’s rosé program has gone on to win a Platinum Award, and this could be labeled as a vineyard-designate rosé because it was 100% from Tudor Hills in the Yakima Valley — a breadbasket for winemaker Richard Batchelor. Its complex profile ranges from pink grapefruit, kiwi and cherry tomatoes and a hint of salinity. Despite the listed residual sugar (0.9% residual), it is more savory and tangy in its finish of pink strawberry. Qualifying awards: Cascadia International (gold), Seattle Wine Awards (gold)
