Pursued by Bear/Abeja winemaker dinner with Kyle MacLachlan and Daniel Wampfler at The Salish
July 17, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$150
Join us on Tuesday, July 17 at Salish Inn & Spa for an unforgettable evening with actor and Pursued by Bear’s proprietor Kyle MacLachlan and winemaker Daniel Wampfler, also head winemaker at Walla Walla’s Abeja winery.
Guests will enjoy exquisite pairings at Salish Lodge & Spa, the inspiration for the iconic Great Northern Hotel in the cult classic Twin Peaks, in which Kyle played the role of Dale Cooper.
Raised in Yakima, Kyle returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2005 to craft small lots of limited-production wine from Columbia Valley vineyards.
Dan has been making Pursued by Bear wines with Kyle since 2008 and has served as head winemaker at Abeja since 2016. Located on a beautifully restored turn-of-the-century farmstead, Abeja is known for its collectible Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, as well as its limited-release estate wines available to mailing list members only.
To kick off the evening, guests will gather in Salish’s herb gardens overlooking Snoqualmie Falls to savor passed appetizers, followed by a five-course, locally inspired dinner created by Salish’s Executive Chef Ben Riggs.
Attendees are invited to purchase up to two bottles from each winery the night of the event for Kyle and Dan to sign, the perfect takeaway from what is sure to be a memorable and delicious evening.
Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased here. (Price excludes bottle purchases.)
Consistently ranked among the best small resorts in the world, Salish Lodge & Spa overlooks the 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls. Every guest experience is inspired by its surroundings in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Honey and herbs from the lodge’s own apiary and garden appear in treatments at the world-renowned spa, as well as the locally sourced Northwest fare and libations in The Dining Room and The Attic.
Each of its 84 guestrooms has a fireplace, two-person whirlpool tub, and balcony or window seat. A stunning destination for weddings, special occasions or meetings, Salish Lodge & Spa offers an array of indoor and outdoor spaces for a truly unique event.
