One of the largest wineries on the Naramata Bench continues to be one of the province’s leading producers as Mary McDermott’s work rings true across the portfolio at Township 7. Crafted in a style reminiscent of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, the source is Hidden Terrace Vineyard near McIntyre Bluff north of Oliver. Picked at less than 22 Brix, it’s presented bone-dry with aromas of spearmint, lemon oil and marshmallow. Stone fruit, starfruit, lemongrass and minty flavors combine for a bright finish. Suggested pairings include scallops, quinoa or a pickled vegetable salad.
