4 Cellars by Little Big Town 2016 Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, $25

By on June 1, 2019

John Freeman of Waterbrook Winery oversees the production of these wines for country music stars Little Big Town, and this brand partnership has become a hit for Precept Wine. Some of the top vineyards in Washington – including Sagemoor and Wallula – factor into this Chardonnay that sees an 8-month barrel program in 28% new oak. There is a hint of toasted wood that joined with notes of cantaloupe, honeydew melon and caramel, making for a nice mouth feel of lemon curd and apple peel. Suggested pairings include soft cheeses such as brie, salmon poached with butter and walleye. Not only have they touched off a thriving club, but the 4 Cellars brand also is available through Total Wine & More.
