Ariel Eberle is well into her second decade making wine for the Burger family, and her touch with rosé from their 150-acre vineyard has been decorated along the way. She focuses the rosé on Dijon clone 115 fruit from two distinct blocks established in 2000 – Rainbow above the winery and Boot in the lowest corner of their plantings. She continues to dial in a pinkish salmon color, and the effusive nose offers hints of strawberry shortcake, guava and Rainier cherry. Inside, its delightfully bright as cherry leads the flavors, picking up a nibble of cherry skin in the midpalate before the finish of blood orange and boysenberry. It’s an ideal example – fruity yet bone-dry and exceptionally food-friendly.
