DENVER – Two Northwest wines earned unanimous double gold medals and 19 others won gold at the annual Denver Wine Competition.
J. Wrigley Vineyards in Oregon’s McMinnville American Viticultural Area and Westport Winery on Washington’s coast each earned double golds at the competition. Westport Winery also won a gold medal.
College Cellars of Walla Walla, which is part of the Walla Walla Valley Community College winemaking program, won six gold medals. The wines are produced by students and instructors at the college.
Also winning six gold medals was Coyote Canyon Winery in Prosser, Wash. Four of those medals were for its H/H Estates reserve label.
