Great Northwest Wine chooses Valo Cellars as Washington Winery to Watch

Great Northwest Wine Magazine selected Valo Cellars, a joint venture of restaurateur Michael Ruhland and Columbia Valley winemaker Matías Kúsulas as the 2024 Washington Winery to Watch.
 
Last fall, Valo and other bottlings by the Chilean winemaker shined during the Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition, an international judging staged for West Coast wine buyers and sommeliers at the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa in Hood River, Ore. Valo and sister label Massalto are poured at two young tasting rooms near the Columbia River — Vancouver and Bingen.

Our profile of Valo, illustrated by photojournalist Richard Duval, will appear in the Spring 2024 issue of Great Northwest Wine Magazine, scheduled to reach subscribers in early April.
